Anybody tried the scales from Applied weapons tech?

yes, i have black awt scales on my s30v bk coated mini ritter with black axis and liners. i call it my murdered knife. the scales are great. had them about a month now on my edc and no wear shows yet. feel great and have a good weight. i will be getting another set in blue for my oval hole 555.

Yes indeed! I've got them on a regular mini grip on the orange variety, and I love 'em to death! They're seriously great, fit my hand much better than the original scales.

The only possible issue is that they could be a little slick, but it's not a huge deal to me with EDC. I'd say go for them!

honestly i don't notice till i hold another one of my mini grips, they are defiantly heavier. but it is a good heavy, they feel well built and sturdy without being overbuilt like many of the knives coming out now do. all in all i fell it is an improvement in weight.

I have a set of bronze AWT scales on a mini-Ritter and I agree they are a little heavier but it's not to bad and I wish more scales where in this price range, I bought the blemished model and I couldn't see a problem and the anodizing seems really tough.

most of the time the blemished are not a problem of multi color or scratched, its just a shade of the color that is off slightly and can not be sold under the normal color's name.

These look nice and with the good reviews I think the blue scales would be just the ticket for my standard 551.

There's a ton of people on Instagram I've seen that have 'em. I've been looking at them for a while too, but it always comes back to "would I rather have new scales for my grip, or a new grip" and I always end up going back to the fact that my 940 has aluminum scales, and I still haven't tried out a sheepsfoot grip or ritter...
I might have to see if I can order a blem set and try em out.

I just got this Ritter Mini Grip and immediately put blue AWT scales on it. I haven't actually cut anything with it yet but it feels great in the hand. It's a little heavier than the stock plastic scales but still lighter than my Mini Barrage.

I just posted in the other thread, but yes I have a blem set and love everything about them. Had my set for around 6 months if I remember correctly.

Is anyone willing to do a thickness/size comparison of the stock grips on a mini grip with these? I want something slightly bigger than the stock grips but I'm not keen on spending Wilkins money...

I don't have a set of calipers to measure but with my eyes the AWT scales are a few thou thinner than the thickest / fattest part of the stock ones. They are completely flat vs the contour of stock so the feel in hand is a bit different.
