I bought one recently, gotta say its a really nice knife, been having it as my EDC, and I really like it, deep pocket clip, solid lock up, nice steel, flipper or thumb hole and its plenty sharp, I also got a Sebenza 25 a Zaan, Hinderer XM 18 3,5" (which is amazing), Benchmade 941CF, and have a Griptillian and a ZT 566BW, all in the same week, but I'm enjoying the buck for now, great bang for the BUCK

Was just carrying mine today. Definitely wouldn't go oit of my way to "hard use" it, but one of my regular favorites to normal day2day stuff.

I have handled one with the wood handle and s30v steel in the store. I think it is a very sleek looking knife. I would definitely buy one. They don't seem to have the refinement and fit and finish of some higher priced knives but all in all quite nice.

I have one of the first models released. I carried it for a year or two and found it to be reliable and comfortable to use. The S30V blade wasn't hard to keep sharp and it could take a bit of abuse without chipping--i.e., cutting through thin metal wires, etc. Eventually, I moved on to other knives like I always do, however, I consider it one of the "good ones".

I loved mine until the blade chipped a 1/4" chunk right out of the middle. Not really what I would call heavy cutting either. Just cutting plastic banding, sliced the first two fine but chipped out on the third band. This knife is quite thin hollow ground. Work out great as a work knife for me for almost a year. Cut lots of banding before this and never had a problem.

Anyone know if Buck's warranty will cover this? Or will they call it abuse?

Heading out to my wife's Christmas party, or I would try and post a picture.

I carry a 346 sometimes (the Vantage Avid with Sandvik 13c26 and dymondwood scales) and I like it. Mine flips very well and has held up to everything I've thrown at it.

I love mine

Mine looks like Makael's and I agree with Quiet's review. Love it and got a supper deal on it.
I use it everyday at work and is slowly being carried on the weekends. Replacing a smaller CRKT M16

What's the word on the heat treat for the BOS s30v? Can it hold up to a more acute angle or is it best left as is. My intended use is mostly rope tape and cardboard. Toothy or polished?

I too have one that I got from a fellow forum member (thanks Mark!) but haven't used it yet.

Has there been issues with the lock slipping with these? I just always mistrust liner locks to a degree.

I've carried the Buck Vantage Force Pro as my EDC blade for the last year and a half. It has stood up to everything I have thrown at it and has held up extremely well. No issues with blade play, no worries about the lock. This is a very good knife.

Joe58, I have 8 Vantages that I rotate thru daily. Today is 845 day. I never had a lockup problem. If you have a problem the knife lockup, they are somewhat adjustable and you can find videos on Youtube.

Thank you for the info. That's good to hear. I've been turned off from liner locks after a couple bad experiences with another maker of "hard use" liner locks a couple years back and have tended to avoid them.
