I have been doing this lately, frees up some pocket space and is more concealed. Works great when wearing gym shorts also. Anyone carrying this way and what are your reasons for it?

Almost every day, but never a knife :D Are you using a sheath or just a pocket clip?

I do at work when I'm wearing surgical scrubs: no pockets and simple drawstring belt. IWB is the only way to do it.

The sad part is, some of my favorite knives haven't worked with IWB scrub carry. Some of them ride too deep, so they print through the material. Some are too heavy, so you're constantly pulling your pants up. And tip-up doesn't work unless the detent is super strong, as it can snag and open on the way out. This actually happened to me today in the operating suite.

I find a basic Delica is pretty much the perfect knife for scrub carry. Light, flat, and broad, so it doesn't print. Plus the pocket clip isn't too deep, so it stays put under the belt.

It depends on the knife. My sweetspot for IWB carry seems to be about the 3:30 position. Usually the bigger knives don't carry as well IWB. The exception being certain bowie style knives that use a stud to hold the sheath in place IWB.

I sometimes do with my Almar falcon. So light and thin you don't even know it is there.

My preferred carry position, 2:00 with a 1.5" shooters belt, Cobra buckle, big (Praetorian) or small (Inkosi) and everything in between. I love to pull out a hefty tool, warm to the touch and ready to work (the knife that is).

Mostly a Pistol and fixed blade for EDC but on occasion a folder even.

When I was working in a suit especially I would carry IWB around 3:00. Anything from a lightweight Spyderco or Cold Steel to a Sebenza. No one noticed or cared on the post office work floor.

I carry a Ban Tang BT4 fixed blade IWB cross draw. I use a Hartsfield type setup for it and it works great and is super comfy.

Most sheaths aren't really designed for this, unfortunately, because it's a great way to carry. I really want to carry fixed blades IWB, but so few sheath designs (even custom ones) are made for it.

Static cord retention is my favorite method.

I'll also clip a lightweight folding knife to elastic-band pants sometimes.

Yep - oh sorry, you meant knives.

Everyday at 4:00

One of these:
Techno
Slysz Bowie
PM2

Frees up the pockets and forget it is even there.

I have occasionally, but I don't find it comfortable.

Also, years ago I had a folder IWB, and when taking it out, a loose thread caught the thumb-stud and it opened. Cut my had pretty good, but I feel lucky it was just my hand! Probably could have had stitches, but I used super glue. Still have the scar.

Once bitten, twice shy... as they say.

Guns? yea. Most of the time its IWB very rarely do I pocket carry.

As for knives. folders not very often. But 100% I go IWB when its a fixed blade. All my carry fixed blades (esee 4, izulas, customs, gso 4.1 and soon to be gunny 3v) all IWB. Kydex with spyderco g clip is the way to go.

I carry IWB pretty much 24/7/365 at the 1 o'clock position and a CCW pistol at 11 o'clock if I'm out and about and I rarely can tell it's there and my preferred carry location. I carry any folder and any lock type and have never had a problem though I could see it being uncomfortable if you suffered from dunlop disease aka a belly. It's usually where I carry my more cherished knives as I feel it's less likely to get lost or scratched up. These are also typically knives I keep sharp and don't use much so I have a pristine and clean blade. I carry multiple knives so I have other users in my pockets.

I also carry here at night clipped to my boxers along with a small flashlight. The knife isn't used all that often but more than you would think. The flashlight is used multiple times a day so I don't disturb others when going to the bathroom or letting the dog out. I don't find it very uncomfortable even when sleeping on my stomach.

If I ever want to really conceal a knife where it can't be seen or found if pockets are turned out, I've found clipped IWB to my boxers under my pants the best place and still quickly accessible. Not too often I need to but if I'm going somewhere that likes to limit a responsible adults rights, like a concert or Disney, I will carry here just so I don't have to worry about being hassled.

I find it a great place to carry. It's also great for my CCW pistol and is easily concealed with just a t-shirt. If paranoid about shirt pulling up and exposing it, it's easy to tuck an undershirt into pants so it's covered. I use basically the equivalent of a knife pocket clip that is attached to the side of the gun so a holster is not needed. It's a great way to carry though it will get full of lint and won't stay pristine but my carry guns are to be carried and used, though hopefully not fired, and don't need to stay pretty.

I don't carry this way too often, but when I do I have found the odd shape of the clip on the Benchmade Onslaught (in my case the mini) to lend itself perfectly to IWB carry
