I know I posted about the Triage once before, but I came across a great opportunity and I need help!

Does anyone carry the Benchmade 916 with opposing bevel? I can get one at a really nice price, but I'm not sure how useful the blunt tip will be for everyday cutting tasks. Too bad I can't get the sheepsfoot version at the same nice price :(

Depending on how good the price is. Strong tip I'll say that lol. If it's like half price I would get it but that's me

Not quite half, but about 1/3 off msrp. The video by Benchmade shows it's a pretty robust blade, but I'm wondering how it can handle less specialized tasks, like working around the yard or out in the garage.

Looks like you have a tip still so almost like the griptilian style blade with the thumb hole except the triage has that scraper looking part at the front. Unless all your tasks constantly require a tip which I don't know why you couldn't stab cardboard either, it looks like it would do fine.

I've had a 916SBK in my EDC rotation since they first came out. It's probably the best around-the-yard knife I own. The seat belt hook is awesome for twine, Mason line, weed whacker cord, vines, small branches, and I've used the blunt tip a ton on screw heads and light prying. The opposing bevel is a little wierd for straight cuts, but for a straight up utilitarian knife, I haven't used anything better. The g10 scales are super grippy, they're rough on pockets, but the grip especially if you have gloves on is fantastic. I highly recommend one. Brad
