I can't get enough of this stuff.

Already planning on getting a Bodega in Jade and I'm trying to convince Eugene from Olamic to make a Wayfarer in this stuff. I love it!!

The semi-transparency and how it picks up liner colors is pretty neat, but it reminds me too much of a toy sword I had when I was a kid (that was semi-transparent and glowed in the dark).

It reminds me of the glow in the dark plastic blades on those cheap Halloween prop knives.

Yea, I have a little bit kicking about the place somewhere. :p:thumbup:

That is just what's called "natural G-10", I suppose "ghost jade" sounds cooler though.....

I've got two folders with it and I agree. It's pretty sweet lookingImageUploadedByTapatalk1409011701.684651.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1409011723.569392.jpg

I like the looks of it, but never had any. It doesn't seem to be too prevalent out there, even though it should.

Great looking knives guys.

I recently picked up a Spyderco LeafStorm with the natural G-10 and that is one thing that really caught my attention. I believe it is something like Chrome. in that if you have all chrome it loses its luster. The beauty of the natural G-10 is its scarcity. When people see it they are somewhat amazed not knowing what type of material it is. Ghost Jade does sound exotic.

This is an Enzo Hunter that I equipped with a three-layer set of scales. Next to the tang is a 1/16" red G10, in the middle of the sandwich is a 1/8" moonglow slab, and the outside is 1/8" translucent jade green G10.

I originally came up with this idea because the Moonglow polymer is relatively soft and scratches easily. The jade G10 is tough and translucent - so it allows the GITD Moonglow to shine through...

This stuff is as far away from the handle material I drool over. But I drool over this stuff. Nice juxtaposition between its hypermodern style and perhaps a very patina-y carbon steel blade. Like Obi Wan wearing a nice fresh new jacket ;)

Having never seen the ghost jade in person I'd say to me it's a double edged sword. Meaning... most of the photos I've seen make it appear rich and appealing, but the G10 being translucent is where the problem is for me. Depending on the thickness of the scales and the knife construction, what shows through could either be pleasant to the eye or too busy, cluttered and therefore unpleasant to the eye. So depending on the knife chosen for the scales, it could be a "home run" or could be a "strike out."
I'd like to add that the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" certainly is applicable here.:)

Well, its not G10 but it is jade in color, does that count? :D

And yes, I love jade colored scales
