If so, could you post some side by side pics and wearing them? I'm trying to decide which one I want to save for but I don't know how'd they fit, hehe.

I'm only 5' 10" but because I can't keep food away from my mouth, I'm about 300#. I want something that "fits" while not getting something that's too large.

I'm thinking about this for cooler weather hiking to carry extra clothes etc. In moderate weather, I carry a Fatboy Jumbo......yes a murse to some.

Any sizing help or suggestions are appreciated.

What do you want it for? Just a day hike not to much stuff? Water, clothes, snack? How much more do you want to carry in the pack vs the Jumbo? Just an idea the Falcon has @ 5x the cu in but mostly compartments. Big man like you if you want to fit your coat in the pack get a Condor. Sucks huh not being able to see one in person :( Take some measurement off the Maxepedition site and go look at some pack @ Rei or somewhere to give you a better idea. But compact pack the Falcon is nice. :)

The condor is bigger, but not that much IMO. The main difference is that the Condor is much less subdivided. Some people like that, others like the hyper-organization afforded by the falcon II. I'm in the latter category. With the falcon II, if you need more room just add a water bottle holder or two, a couple of pouches or a roly poly etc.

I've tried on the condor and personally wasn't super impressed with the size difference to that of the falcon II. But you can get a lot more stuff in there simply because of the lack of subdivisions and it is after all bigger compartment. That comes at a sacrifice to the organization advantages of the falcon. Personally, I don't think that the condor will take you from daypack/overnighter bag to multi-nighter bag. You'll have to go bigger still and probably want an internal frame of some kind to really crank up capacity. In its favor, the condor doesn't have molle swathed all over the place and doesn't look like a tactical bag. I never have a problem with this one as most people don't know what molle webbing is.

My two cents :D

I found myself looking at those two myself...

When i mentioned that in W&SS Payetterucker recommended a Mountainsmith Approach.

It looks like a really nice pack, and is 30% cheaper.

I haven't decided yet. :-/

I'm a big fan of Maxpedition stuff, so, I'll probably stick with them.

It's been brought to my attention (since I'm too dim to look it up myself, hehe) that I have a dealer up north from me. Maybe when it's time, I can take a run up there and see them in person.
