I'm running out of room in the gun safe, I can fit them all in currently but it makes them almost impossible to get back out, and some like the mosin nagant have to be positioned just right, I'm thinking of buying or building a rifle rack and putting it in the corner to keep my rifles, has anyone done this before? any issues with them being knocked down?

I have done this and I would suggest that the stocks not rest on the floor. Make a little storage space beneath where the stocks rest for odds and ends. Hence you are less likely to knock one over or bang into one. If you want to, run a plastic coated cable (and lock) through the triggers to secure somewhat.

Kids are less likely to bump into the guns when they are playing if you have them above the floor level.

I think out of sight and secure are best

I had the same problem you have. Safe got full so I just went on craigslist and bought an old style gun cabinet. You know, the kind that grandpa used to have. I actually really enjoy having a classic, vintage gun cabinet. Just really cool. And you can find them pretty cheap! I kept all my high-dollar hunting rifles and AR-15s in my safe but put my "old" guns in the cabinet.

Here's one example I just found on craigslist..... https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/spo/4400753782.html

Make it taller with a shelf on top to stack things like bows and fishing rods. Bows are best stored horizontal, especially recurves. I have my spare fishing rods stacked in a corner between a cabinet and the wall where there is some protection.

Better to use a closet . Line the rifles along the walls. Here's what we used for my son's closet. Out of open sight of thieves. Three walls of closet lined with rifles. Hanging clothes hide them. Door knob locks. For me, I made a walk in closet into a vault.

You can make these for a couple of bucks. Wooden window blind slats, dowels, and wood glue. Screw them into studs.
