Anyone have the Outrider?

I want another SAK but not sure which one. I have been looking closely at the Outrider for the locking blade, scissors and saw in one knife.

I have scissors and saw on separate smaller SAKs but like the idea of the larger SAK that combines all these tools.

Just looking for feedback from those who have experience with the Outrider or can suggest another locking blade SAK with both scissors and saw.

Thanks.

I have tried the Outrider, but it is a bit too big for my purposes. I bought it for camping trips, but a SAK like Farmer, Huntsman or Pioneer is fine for me, since I carry a fixed blade knife during such trips.

Nevertheless it is a good SAK. If you don't mind carrying a SAK of this size and like to have scissors, then give it a try. An even bigger SAK is the Hercules, which adds pliers. Then there is also the WorkChamp and the WorkChamp XL. I have once had a WorkChamp of a friend of mine in my hands and that thing is big and heavy.

I have the model with pliers instead of scissors (a classic on the keychain for scissors). It's too big for me to pocket carry but fills the hand nicely. The Outrider would be a good choice if you want a lock blade Huntsman.

I carry one everyday and I took one to Afghanistan on my last deployment! It is one of my favorite SAKs. It feels good in the hand and the saw is out of this world, the scissors come in very handy. As far as this compared to a smaller SAK, the saw on the Outrider because of the longer length will eat through some pretty good size saplings, and would be great for trap construction. The Outrider is a little thick and long for in the pocket carry, I carry mine in a Vic Belt sheath made for that size of SAK. Get one it is very much worth it, I think you will love it. Also the small philips screw driver comes in handy too! I have used it many times to fix my kids toys and some of my stuff too!
