i don't mean with a butterfly knife. I mean tricks with a foldingknife or a fixed blade knife. Thanks for the ideas. Pics or videos are helpful but not needed :)

I don't know if it's considered a trick but putting a zip tie on a blade with an opening hole on it works just like Emerson's Wave. I had one on my Tanto SnG until I gashed my finger on the tie. (Funny Story excluded)

Yeah, I know some cool tricks. Sometimes I'll use the force tm. to make my knife hover in front of my face. Then using my force tm. powers I'll make the blade "snap" open.. then I'll spin it in the air for a while and make it land in my hand.
It always gets everyone lookin.

Here is a picture of me using the force tm. on my SOG Tigershark, it didn't come out very good because the lighting was wrong.

Here's what I do:

jump down, spin around, pick a bale of cotton, jump down, spin around then flick open my folder.

i put an entire zip tie through the thumb hole, hang the knife by zip-tie on my penis, and jump.

I insert my thumbnail into the nail nick to open the knife super-fast. When that fails, I use my tongue, and when that is not enough, I use my ***** to pry it open.

Back in the day when the big wood handled, brass bolstered buck knive was king, a favorite trick was to put the knife your pocket, tip up, with the blade about a quarter inch up. The trick was to catch the tip of the knife on your denim jeans such that it snapped open as you pulled it out.

whats a brownie pop?

It is soooo secret that if someone tells you, if you manage to discover another source for this secret technique, Brownie will come back and huff and puff and threaten to de-animate you. :D :D

Brownshoe is still an active member; his most recent post was this morning. His "Brownie Pop" was just an inertial opening variant, the way many but not all of us do it. Somehow he got the idea he had discovered something wonderful and he thought if he posted it criminals would find out his wonderful secret and misuse it but if he emailed it to everyone who asked, that would be safe. You might want to search it all out; some people might consider the whole thing amusing.

Correction: That wasn't Brownshoe; it was brownie0486. :o

lol, what a funny thread.
I feel like giving some serious answers.
You can flick the knife open by hitting the stud or opening hole with your thumb (you might have to use the nail) very quickily and in a straight forward direction. Not out like the blade has to go, straight forward to where the blade will be. This works for most of my folders.
