Anyone own the Mini Leatherneck?

My local seller has some for sale at decent prices. Any of you fellers own this knife? I’d love to read opinions on how it carries in the pocket and how the handle feels in hand. Is the overall build quality good?

If I get one, I’ll just throw it in my pants pocket. My usual pocket fixed blades are the Izula and Mora Eldris. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

All the reviews I have seen/read were positive about the Mini Leatherneck line. The only complaints mentioned were too short of a handle (should’ve been 1/2 inch longer) and that the sheath dulls the knife (or designed poorly for carry). It is a lower end steel but that brings the cost down…I’ve seen them sold for $15 a while back. It’s a budget blade, personally I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for one. I may pick up the dagger (boot knife) design if the price drops again.

The clip point is kinda tempting. Thanks for the insights dude.

I have had one for a couple years. My only complaint is the lack of a clip on the sheath. However, it makes a fine knife for my car's glovebox. It is crazy sharp and the handle has a good grip.

This is exactly what I meant to say…some reviewers wanted a way for it to be horizontally carried (including myself). A sheath clip would have been perfect.

Hi there Hawk. Does the knife stay in the hand just fine?

Hey fellas. I bought one for the heck of it, lol. I’ll do a mini review after messing around with it.
Please do…they’re so cheap that I was considering getting 2 of them. I too want to know if the handle is long enough to get a solid grip. I was wondering if it’s a full tang, but you’d have to destroy the knife in order to find out. From what I’ve seen online they appear surprisingly well made.

Hey dude. Posted the review though photos are to follow. Personally, I’d recommend buying one first just to see how you like it, but that’s just me.

To mods, if it’s no trouble, feel free to lock this thread as it served its purpose. I don’t want to spam the subforum with two Mini Leatherneck topics. We can continue the discussion in the review post. Thank you for your time.

I keep SOG Seal Pups or Seal Strikes in my glove boxes since they are just under the 5" legal limit here. Both also very sharp. I was wondering if you had one of those as well and how you would compare the two.

I have always been mildly interested in the tanto version of the mini leatherneck. I realize it's called the mini, but in the pictures I see though, it looks really small in hand.

I do have a SOG Seal Pup. It is a larger, more substantial knife. However, I have no complaints with my Cold Steel Mini Leatherneck.
