Looking forward to seeing some of your work, Jaseman. I appreciate the difficulty in finding time or energy for art's-sake-art. What medium would you jump on if given the chance?
I took some photos last night of an old sketchbook from art school (like 25 years old). I'll post them up later today when I get a chance.
Given the chance to jump back in? I was always partial to drawing and sketching, and my favorites were always pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, etc...
And I can't really say I don't anymore, it's just different now. Since I'm a designer by trade, I'm still creating artwork constantly, just digitally. But a lot of it still starts as sketching things out on paper to get the basic idea out. I also bring my art/design/creative skills into pretty much everything I do. For example, I painted an old bike for my daughter, but I couldn't just leave it one color, I had to pain scallops on it. Same with the basketball hoop I put on the back of the house - had to paint it! Every tattoo I have, drawn out by me first. Hand drew my own custom knife. I've done a few cigar box display cases for pistols. Heck, the list is endless. So I don't feel like I'm not doing it anymore, but rather just adapted it into my everyday life over the years.
Here's a few quick things that are already floating out there (but I will post some stuff later)
Tattoo on my back, all drawn out by me (except for the bike on the left shoulder, it was an old poster I found that I loved, and inspired the ink)
3D renders from when I remodeled my kitchen in the new house (I do 3D design for a living now, and everything in these was modeled, textured and rendered by me)
My daughters bike (which she's long since grown out of)
Poster I created for a race held by my local SCCA region, which I'm very involved in as a race official
For a while, I was doing some digital pin-up stuff. I'll leave this as a link to the page, because its NSFW

The post I made here about one of my cigar box display cases (I've since done 5 or 6 of them for friends and family)

So, like I said, though I don't technically draw much anymore, I'm still always creating something. For me, it's actually nice, as I'm creating 'art' all day at work, so at home my creativity comes out in so many other ways that I would never normally expect. My wife laughs at me, because I can't just do something a normal way, I have to look at it from all angles, think about the aesthetic, find unique materials, and add a bit of flair to it.
