Benchmade 670 Apparition appeared today, here is a quick run down;
Pros:
Like the blade shape
Like the handle shape
Like the guard shape
Like the grip
Like the weight, solid feeling
Like the opening mech, fairly fast
Like the layout when closed, blade fit in handle very good
design, no sharp edges of the blade tang exposed
Cons:
blade a little thick edged, push cuts not too easy
lock is pretty wimpy liner, but I don't fight with a knife much
so it's probably not an issue
lockbar edge is smooth to push, some texture there would be in order
has a lanyard hole but it's tip down carry so lanyard hole isn't
too handy, unless a sheath is made to reverse that position but
will probably keep it as is for now.
Overall, nice and a keeper, at least for a while, the blade while a tad thick
with it's flat grind, cuts well but not push cutting, will work on the bevels...
