Applied Weapons Technology Titanium Knife Scales

I was looking online for titanium knife scales for my Mini Griptillian.
I found a company called Applied Weapons Technology.
The scales looked great and the price was $85.95.
Anyone ever bought from them ???

I received a shipping confirmation with tracking number. They did not name shipper. The tracking number will not take me to a tracking site.
Tried USPS, UPS, FedEx tracking and number was not of the 3 shippers.
No phone number. I was getting worried.
 
I thought that AWT scales were made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. Do they have titanium
scale sets now?
 
Yeah I’ve had a set. They are very well made.
Didn’t know if they had titanium sets out.
 
Great scales. Alumn or TI, they really fit great and give the Mini Grip BM a whole new look and feel. 4 time buyer of AWT scales.
 
AWT makes aluminum scales, not titanium... which have a few pros and cons compared to titanium:
Pros: Can be colored,they weigh less, and they’re cheaper.

Cons: They scratch more easily than titanium, they’re less durable, and they transfer heat/cold (thermal conductivity or something like that, meaning that if used outside in winter they’ll freeze your hand whereas titanium will not).

As for AWT: Christian-based company that makes a great product. For the money, the product is a bargain.
 
I've put AWT aluminum scales on 3 different Grips and they've done well. I kept the "hive" pattern on a mini Grip and really like them. My only comment would be that if you love the round, hand filling shape of the standard scale, the AWT will definitely feel a little blocky. Not to the point of creating hot spots...but almost...

I like them better on mini Grips than full size Grips for this reason.
