Army fire steel and Sharpshooter sheaths?

Hiya. I have a Sharpshooter leather sheath (from KSF:D) with firesteel loop. I'd like to get the large Army firesteel to go with it. It'll fit the loop on that sheath, right? As an aside I'd like to get the oak handle version, unless I can get one in Blaze Orange to match my RC-3s handle. Anyone know where to get one??

thanks

and the sheath

I believe these are your choices. It looks like the sheath loop is meant to hold the army size fire tool.

Why not just call Derrick and ask him what you need? It looks like he carries every fire tool that Light My Fire makes.

i have the exact setup you just described it works like a charm. the fire steel fits in it nice and securely snug you wont regret it.

Yup the army size fits the loop. At first it might seem like it wont go but it will. After you get it in the first time it fits great. Nice and snug.

Also, Bark River makes firesteels with different colors/materials. I have one in black matte finish canvas(i think) micarta that matches my black RC-4 nicely. I would imagine a matte finish Orange G10 would match the RAT orange pretty good as well. Not sure when the next batch is coming out though.

Thanks for all the replies. I've seen the Bark River firesteels in blaze orange. Beautiful looking, but kinda pricey right at the moment. If the oak handle Army fits, I may go with that.

Oak and Army are the sweet spot in cost/function. Everything else is just beauty. The BRKT firesteels are just army steels with a nice handle.

I use an Army, myself.
