I've never read the magazine until I received it in my mailbox. Apparently, my brother (who lives in Tennessee) has a subscription and our addresses have gotten confused. Anyhow, the magazine reminded me of Readers' Digest a magazine I have always loved because of the heartwarming stories and good-natured humor, so I perused it. What did I find? "Refiner's Fire, A powerful message comes in every box." While it was only a short article, it was a pleasure to read. I especially loved the part about the letter Chuck received from a desperate woman who purchased a knife to inflict injury upon herself. Apparently, the message in the box has been helpful on many levels.

I just figured others might be interested in the article.

Thanks again for being such a great role model for others. :)

I am glad their is a story about the message from Chuck Buck. Our family has had long discussions on Chuck's Christian message contained in every box. I guess the question I ask is when do you tell people about our faith, is it being too bold or can it be the help a person needs. When we have this discussion I always bring my registration and warranty card from Buck, which includes his message of faith.

I think it is a wonderful message of faith and to find in a product you buy is totally unexpected. As Mr. Buck says in his message "If any of you are troubled or perplexed and looking for answers, may we invite you to look to Him, for God loves you."

Enough said.

Dad travels all over the country speaking at churches, men's fellowships, Rotary clubs etc. Both Christian and secular. Just a few weeks ago he spoke to a congressional prayer breakfast for over 1200 people. That was his biggest audience to date.

He has a great story of his own personal life and how when we heat treat we send that little blade through some kind of hell. It comes out the other side a useable blade, capable of taking use and abuse. We monitor that blade all through the process.

He then compares that to us going through struggles that will cause us to grow and be useable. The knife connection really hits as a clear analogy that is easily understood.

He wants to help folks focus on the lessons they are learning instead of how uncomfortable life can be. Pretty powerful stuff. From the letters he gets God is using that message and Dad's speaking to impact lives, no doubt about it.

I used to read Guideposts for years. That little magazine brings forth some inspiring stories and they never failed to brighten up my day.

In fact, all those stories helped me to be a better man.

The Buck little message is a most welcome piece of information. I am glad there are people who believe strongly and fervently in spiritual principles and they want to pass the message on. I am sure that is one reason why the Buck Knives organisation is as strong as it was decades ago.

Going about spreading God's message can only reap bountiful returns. The well of goodness is inexhaustible.
