Asking about this strange Buck 110

This knife is a 110 with an 2015 anniversary blade. The blade looks strange at the tang stamp but I am not an expert. It is a nice anniversary issue FG knife. It looks like Cherrywood for scales. What is strange it is a later 110 and does not have the Buck shield on the left side scale. Maybe leftover blades were used after 2015.

Thanks for letting me know about this

It's a custom shop ordered knife, built in 2014. 2014 was the 50th year celebration of the Buck 110.

Here is a CS with Buffalo horn

I said it was a 2015 because the earlier 2014 had a totally different tang stamp altogether. Yes 2014 was the 50 anniversary!

T tommycopper1 The stamp changed about March 2014 to add the word 'BUCK'. Both stamps were used in 2014. Custom shop knives would not have the scale emblem. Some stock 110 knives were issued the later half of December 2013 with the 50th blade and no emblem. Yes, there was a brief buildout in 2015. I'm still looking for the 1st stamp variation in a FG.

DeSotoSky DeSotoSky I have never seen a FG with an early anniversary issue. Do you know if they actually exist, Sir?
Yes, hopefully drei3ree drei3ree will fix his picture. There was a post way back then, pretty sure by Houser, but maybe by Hubbard that gave the production numbers of the early ones. I have searched dilligently and cannot find it. If anyone else out there recalls what I'm talking about, please post. Where is our long lost Stumps Stumps when he's needed.

Joe did an article for the June 2014 BCCI newsletter explaining the 50th anniversary edition variations of the 110. He estimated there were 240 FGs made in late 2013 with the first stamp variation. So, they must be out there! I have a 110 paperstone with first stamp, and a FG variation 3, the most common.

oregon oregon had a first variation FG, pictured here:

Another hard-to-find 110FG, at least for me thus far, is the 2002 100th Anny. I have only found one in a couple years of searching (asking more than I was willing to give). I assume they made plenty of them. Anyone have one in their collection?
