ASP in NY State

I don't know the laws on this. All local gun stores have them, but will only sell to LEOs, I know I can get them on the net but have no clue about possesion laws and carry laws, any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Mere possession of an ASP or any other bludgeoning instrument, ie. blackjack, billy, or baton, is specifically prohibited to civilians in NY State. Get some OC spray.
