Atwood Rope Paracord

Added a couple more flavors of paracord for those looking to spice up their knot tying or for those simply looking for a high visibility cord. This 550 paracord is made by Atwood rope, and has a really vivid look in person. More information on our website.

Atwood is the brand that sells rope in Walmart; I don't know if I believe their 550lb test rating. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some insight

From what we understand this stuff isn't mil-spec, but is still quite strong. Haven't seen or heard any tests as to the rating so I'm interested as well.

In the meantime, folks will surely find uses for the sheathing, as I'd guess the majority of this cord will be used for some pretty cool lanyards and the like.

new to the forum, just to clarify, Atwood Rope MFG does not sell rope to walmart " ATTWOOD MARINE " does. two entirely different companies. I have used they're paracord and many other life safety products for years, and yes i put my life on there line all the time. i originally saw there stuff in the marines " rappelling training lines ". anyway hope this helps.!
