Love the kitchen knives. I wonder if they will release more axes.

Very pretty in profile for sure.

Here is a new axe I have collaborated with Neeman Tools. The Northlader Fellig Axe. This is the first of the line. I thought I could wait until it was in hand but it wont be here till next week. Just a lil teaser, I will post review in couple weeks

John Neeman tools always cuase my wallet to start crying. They are amazing craftsmen and you can see their passion in every tool they produce. Very nice axes!

That is a very good looking axe. I couldn't decide what looks better- rustic or ground- finish. Can't wait to see the specs and review on it.

That's fantastic. Beautiful axe.

Anyone know why the toe is pointed like that instead of full like a North American broadaxe? The toe is what gets the most wear. I don't understand why it would be made so small to begin with. Also the toe is dropped back about 1/2" short of the heel already. With wear it would quickly drop back even further.

But an axe as beautiful as that would likely never get used anyway.

I'll be having John make me an American scythe blade at some point in the near future. It'll be in L6! :D

I did not realize John had parted ways with the company which carries his name. I may have to consider canceling my order with John Neeman and putting it in under his new company Autine.

I really like his work, some of those axes are just beautiful!

John Neeman is the english transliteration of Janis Nimanis (sp?), which is the name of the smith who now runs the Autine shop. HOWEVER, nobody copyrighted that name, so John Neeman Tools is free to continue using it. Jakob (guy who runs JNT) and Janis used the transliteration to appeal to western buyers when they started up, but when they parted ways, both parties decided to continue using the name to a certain extent. Truth is, nobody is John Neeman. Dude doesn't exist. Lesson here: Branding is important, and so is copyrighting!
