Hey folks,
I used to do a lot of sailing and the knife my father gave me had a marlin spike on it, which I used on the ship all the time to untie/loosen up knots.
I put some of my not used leatherman bits to the grinder and made myself an awl to puncture stuff and a small marlin spike kind of thing to make it easier to open up knots.
After a winter camping trip early januari, I was fed up with breaking up camp with cold hands and wet knots, I wanted a small marlin spike.
I think I read about the adjustment here, so credits to that guy.
My leatherman is the better for it imo, love it even more now
a great addition for me and since the awl was missing anyway on the charge and wave I was wondering how you guys feel about this.
sharp and pointy, good for center point markings, hole drilling
this one is rounded, unfortunately not that long, but it still functions pretty well on thin knots like knots you do with paracord.
splicing and knot opening are easier with this
