Thank you are there different manufacturers? I cant find a maker on it or how old it might be?The first is a copper? pipe hawk, sharpetoys.
Knowing who my dad was he only would have something if it was expensive, rare or collectible. He didn't like fakes and liked the best of the best. He was part Cherokee and was born in Alaska and was a in the Marine Corp as Dog Handler in Vietnam. His collection is diverse and is large and I have been lurking and reading since he passed in September. I know all about his rare Busse and Randall and HI. I have been trying to educate myself before I just post and ask for help. Now I am trying to learn about his axes and tomawhawks. But these items have me stumped a little.
Not sure if this helps but this thread and the members discussing tomahawks within it may be able to help.
Your dad sounds to have been a man with an incredible life, I am sorry for your loss.
I hope you find the info you desire.
Thank u Miller, he was one of a kind for sure

Hi, I'm not a new member but I haven't really posted anything until now. I like collecting old tools and every time I search for information or advice I always seem to find my answers on this forum, so I just wanted to say thanks!
And I thought I would introduce myself by showing what I've collected so far.
3 Kelly flint edges
An uncommon size 3lb possibly with original handle
A 2 1/2lb possibly original handle
And another well used 2 1/2

A 5lb Connecticut, unknown boys axe, and an unknown hatchet

Broad axe and a couple hewing hatchets

A fire axe, a cheap modern double bit for throwing, two other random hatchets

And the rest may not belong in this thread but I thought I would include them anyway

Lets see some pics!
I will post a few pictures of my own a little later, don't have any at the moment
Ok I will try that, thanks again A17!Once you are on just the photo and not the gallery, drag the photo to your post and it will show. I figured that out after approx. 1 hr of fiddling when I was first posting.
Thanks Miller! I have no idea on the make of the saw. I found it here in southern Ontario, I'm not sure what brands were commonly used here? And although the handle is the correct D shape, it's definitely not original as its been drilled out to fit the saw. I plan to make a new handle someday, but at the same time I kind of like the the way it looks, wire wrap and all, lol. Thanks for the comments!Really a great looking and assembled collection.
I really am enjoying these three here...
The saw, to my briefly experienced eye, resembles one of these style Disston possibly?
Completely different handles but i was just reviewing a Disston site for a while so everything is looking like a Disston.
Or a completely different manufacture and model saw...either way it's a beauty!
Really like the handle on the adz and the cant hook is really sweet all over!
