So, I picked up some new leather sheaths for some blades I had lying around and I thought leaving my impressions here may be helpful for knife enthusiasts in the market for a new sheath.
AZULA Gun Holsters:
I wanted a leather sheath for a few Busses I had, a Swamp Rat Rodent 6 and a Fusion Battle Mistress. I actually stumbled across AZULA here on the forums and I was impressed by their price point and thought I’d try them out. I have been super duper impressed thus far. The leather is decently thick, finely finished, and of good quality. They are molded perfectly and ride decent with an inch and a half belt and would accommodate up to a two inch belt. I bought both of these sheaths for less than a hundred dollars. The only downsize is that the sheaths are maybe a little generic with only 3 colors and no custom options. But all in all I think I gotta hell of deal and am extremely impressed. They have other products including, obviously, holsters which also appear to be high quality.
Patriot Leather Company:
Got a replacement sheath for my Bark River Bravo 1.5 and it is sweet. Patriot allows you to customize your sheath extensively and the leather is absolutely top of the line. I got the drop loop, fire steel, and front stone pouch in a vertical carry sheath for $130 approximately. That’s not a super duper deal but it is a really good price for a custom leather sheath and if you go with a plain one it brings the price down significantly. The only downside was that with custom work comes lead time. My sheath took over two months to get to me and it shipped just barely within the estimated lead time but alas it was well worth the wait and I highly recommend Patriot as well.
I will figure out how to get pics on here ASAP until then I hope my words might push some of you off the fence if your on it.
