Can I express some bright green jealousy bordering on obsessive anxiety?

Thanks for posting it up. I have one of the Gen 2's (or whatever generation it is) on order with Devin.
He has a cool alcohol wick available that allows you to use it as an alcohol stove.

ETA: FWIW, there's an "M-Kettle" (that Joe has reviewed as well) made by a rip-off manufacturer in Britain that is near identical to Devin's Backcountry Boiler.
Just based on that first link above as well as the embedded picture, you can see how much time and energy Devin has put into this design.
Then an unscrupulous soul simply imported the design and even used "M-Kettle" because Devin's last name is Montgomery.
If you can buy from Devin, that is the way to go. Just a personal opinion, but I prefer to reward creativity and effort.
I do think people recognize his connection to the product though. This last batch was funded by a
Kickstarter effort.
Devin had a $20,000 goal to pay for machining and product development. He wound up with $60K worth of pledges for various forms of his products.
He has improved the stopper in the new, forthcoming batch and is offering the alcohol wick for an alternate fuel source.
