..gotta love the second line of this song!!! :)

Rifle in a gun rack hanging in the back glass
Buck knife on my belt, ain’t no land for sale ‘round here
Red clay country mud, sippin’ on a cold Bud
Blue tick coon hound you know where I’m found out in the

CHORUS
Backwoods down in the holler
Out in the backwoods, workin’ hard for a dollar in the
Backwoods yeah we get it done right
Work hard, play hard, hold my baby tight
Lordy have mercy it’s a real good life
In the backwoods, yes sir
Preacher’s daughter couldn’t get hotter
Floating that river on an inner tube with her, splash
35’s and a lift kit how stuck can you get
Ain’t that just my luck where’s the chain I’m stuck out in the

CHORUS
Backwoods down in the holler
Out in the backwoods workin’ hard for a dollar in the
Backwoods yeah we get it done right
Work hard, play hard, hold my baby tight
Lordy have mercy it’s a real good life
In the backwoods, son

CHORUS
Out in the backwoods down in the holler
Out in the backwoods workin’ hard for a dollar in the
Backwoods yeah we get it done right
Work hard, play hard, hold my baby tight
Lordy have mercy it’s a real good life
In the backwoods, down in the holler son
Down in the backwoods

+1 BC, maybe a start of a new theme thread-any other Buck lyrics out there?

Didnt Alabama sing in Dixieland Delight......."white tail Buck knife, cuttin up some clover, redtail hawk sittin on a limb":p

Too funny! Just as I saw this thread, the song came on the radio. I was able to read the lyrics as I listened to them. Great song!

I notice he got both Buck and Bud in there.

Wonder if he gets any payback from them?

:)

He was criticized earlier for being a poor songwriter and that his songs lacked details about the daily life of his chosen buyer demographic......he sure stuffed this one full of details (myself, I don't even have a clue what "35s" might be).

:)

If you're serious, 35's are 35 inch tall off road tires, like you see the giant, lifted pickups running on. I used to be an assistant manager at a tire store...

I suspected it might have something to do with tires, Kbras.......but since 18 inches is a humongous size tire to me.......

I guess I'm out of that loop. Thanks for the info.

:)

I have a house way out in the sticks with a F-150 and a 30-06. Oh I also have a few bucks. Good song I'd say.

35's would be 35" tires. He must have been looking at my truck when he wrote that :D . Mine is lifted with 35's

You might be confusing tires with wheels (unless you drive a go cart). An 18" tire would be really tiny, the stock wheels on both my suburban and pickup are 16" with 32" tires. 35" tires are a pretty good size, not huge but a decent step up from stock.

My Nephew's like the first two songs; Backwoods and F150 with 30-06, I prefer the "home grown country girl, gonna give me a whirl" . Probably just time and space for application to me . No, one can tell my wife I wrote this !! DM
