I scored this stuff from a forum member on the exchange last weekend. Have yet to fire it up, also need to get some parks 50 on order. I am working on an outdoor setup in my back yard.

Now i think i just need a hammer and some tongs?

i believe the 81mm can holds 5 gallons quite well.

very nice, im on hunt for the right size hammer and tongs now.....i was thinking of making some handmade pulls for my kitchen cabinets as a warm up project...good idea?

Ken’s custom iron has some great tong blanks that make a fun and easy project to forge. I’ve bought several handmade hammers that I like, but I’d recommend Dave Custer of fiery furnace forge if you’re looking for a nice Brian Brazeal style rounding hammer somewhere around 2-3lbs. Although a cheap cross peen will do the job just fine.

A 4 foot section of tree trunk aroune 16" wide that is buried a coupe feet in the ground will work great for an anvil base. Toss a BBQ cover over it when not in use.

A Costco 10X20' porta-garage tent works well as a smithy. You can put the sides on in the winter or bad weather, and leave them off in the summer. I forged under one for many years.

You can build a sturdy 48X48" table somewhat like your deck and put the forge, vise, etc. on it. Toss a tarp over it when not in use.

ooooh thanks for the inspiration guys. i very much appreciate it! ill post pics as i go
