"Vice" is simply a (usually) British version of "versus." It means exactly the same thing in that context - "as opposed to."I’m curious about the wording “rocks vice rockstead” and what it means

It absolutely is a waste of money when buying/selling items that are used. If you don't have a credible receipt from a company, you simply won't get your money back....

I'm lucky that the PayPal's decision was on my favor, but still a lesson to learn for me and to all the sellers out there. If you don't want to get into this, shoot a video all the way from packaging to usps at one take is the only way I can see to do it. I know next time I'll go directly to arizonacustomknife for selling my knives.
I'll be damned! Learned a new thing today and I went to college in England, evidently just allegedly!
I just read that it’s military Latin for “instead of”
I was able to read this
By standing on the shoulders of giants
Interesting, thanks.. How some chose to use words/terms, don't really make them correct. Even the military...
Seems like this thread is growing too many side bar conversations. Although some of the topics are interesting.
Would be nice if the two parties involved in this dispute would update everyone and answer some of the questions asked. But I guess they necessarily do not have too.
This is really something that I have not seen before - especially when it appears both parties have a good track record.

I looked up the online dictionary and just HappyDaddy had mentioned a few posts above, vice is used as a synonym for versus in the British-English, i.e, the original motherland. I had never, ever seen one case when I was there for over 10 years to be used in that context! Anyway, that's my last derailment for the day.
They do always weigh the box. They have told me numerous times, after weighing light medium flat rate boxes, that it would be cheaper if I mail it first class. And maybe it’s those receipts I am remembering with the weight on them.
Either way they definitely weigh them and definitely have record of that weight.
Not meant as a complaint of AZ's charges, but it will likely cost you much more in the long run than any losses. Situations like this are pretty rare on BF. I think a few extra precautions mentioned in the thread will help, and you could always use a different carrier(they can even pack it) or registered mail.I'm lucky that the PayPal's decision was on my favor, but still a lesson to learn for me and to all the sellers out there.
