Hello Balipeople,
just new in this part of the web, and just badly contaminated by balisongs virus...
Just a typical profane question: there are in commerce any balis with pocket clip(I just hate sheats)and if yes, is there somebody in internet that sells them?
Thanks you all.

I've seen sniperboy selling Fillippino handmade bali's with pocket clips before. I don't know if she still has them. I've never seen another company make a balisong with one. Now I know somebody's got a picture to post with one!

Correct my spelling on this one... Glad I could help. E niente.

Ciao

The only one I have ever seen was the Valor #558 Silver Dragon. It had two clips on one side, one on each handle.

If anyone has a Valor Silver Dragon [#558] or a Valor "Eye of the Tiger" [#563] or a Taylor "The Master" Butterfly Pen Set, please E-mail me at DREARIC@AOL.COM

We will work something out.

It would probably only work for the BM42 but you could try making or getting a clip and putting it on where the latch screw is that way it would hold the latch and clip and have the clip "hug"(wrap around) the handle.

I have a sword in my pocket!

Maybe you could try to thread two of the small holes in the BM 42's handles to attach a pocket clip.

Hehe, I have a bali like that, it's called the City Survivor and it was made by SKGS in the Japan National Headquarters in the USA.

THe Pen handles on mine aren't quite as elegant, they look more like the pens a working man might carry.

It's fun to play with, but the weight is akwardly balanced.

I don't think I'd buy a balisong with a pocket clip on it because it looks like it would get in the way when you have to open it. Also I've seen pens with pocket clips that are a real "female dog" to get uncliped from your clothing.

Perish the thought! A pocket clip on a bali?

Well, if it works for you, OK.

Personally, I don't want the clip, and I'm not sure I want the latch, or the drilled holes in the handle either. Which I see as a through back to BM models. Which most of us grew up with and learned from. I think we need to break from the BM concept. (and the Philo concept)

When I try to think out of the box about bali's, I not only think about high tech innovations, I also think about primitive solutions which may be sound. US ingenuity and all that. Part of the fascination with bali's for me is their primitive, but sound lock concept.

And I'm not into 'trick' manipulations. I stick to the classic openings (and closings) to use it as a knife as it was meant to be. I may spend a lot of hours playing with it, but it does not not include aerials or other 'stuff'.

I've seen Clay's videos and I'm impressed with what he can do.

But, I have no interest in following that. It's impressive that someone has that manual dexterity. But, I'm only interested in a bali as a sound knife concept, nothing more.

A Spiderco or Benchmade replacement clip can be modified to fit a balisong. Not done myself, but saw one of my pal did. Grind one of the three screw holes off the clip to fit the width to handle, drill holes on a balisong handle to fit.
IMHO adding clip to a bali voids its major advantage of ambidextrousness(sp?), carriability(sp?) in pocket, and maneuvarability(sp?) in playing. A light kydex sheath with a pocket clip seems more convenient.

Being Wrong I mean Left handed is a pain in my ass. Everything I do I have to learn twice usually especially as a child. When you watch someone who is right handed do something your mind processes it that way and then flips it so you can do it. Its tough sometimes. Thats why I love balisongs. I can open one and I dont need to worry aboout a pocketclip getting in my way (some of my tactical folders clips arent removeable). And to think Vixtronox makes left handed swiss army knives. very few side opening autos are easily opened left handed. speaking of left handers, are there anymore in here?
