Hello Everyone
I was thumbing through a magazine one time or the other and saw what looked like a mini entrenching tool. weight IMO propably wieged around 2 or so pounds. but what was interesting is that it turned out to be a grappling hook. Not just any grappling hook this one however had a shaft that you insert into its base and you fire it at your target probably a cliff hang or maybe a building or something, even a tree. It said its range was about 75 feet in height. Used a spring loaded thing i think to fire it. So i bought one thinking it would make a fine edition to my BOB the last thing i want to do is turn into a wannabee cowboy flayling a rope around and end up lasooing myself. It works great guys. All i do is push it into the spring loaded shaft ( kinda reminds me of how one would load an Arrow into a crossbow you know). Once you hear the click you know its locked. its closed when its in the shaft and the hooks come open once fired. I guess inertia and momentum kick in to open them. was about 84 bucks. not bad huh. Its was under the section of Mountain rescue and Police repalling or someting i think. I cant remember the catalogue at this time, but i will certainly let you all know when it comes to mind.
Thanks guys.
