Use is for a small fixed blade EDC.
here is the question:
Do i get a mini canadian or a Blackjack 155?

Thanks in advance

I like the blackjack over the mini canadian for a few reasons. BJ has more useable blade, visual appeal, thinner (without the scales), and price. The 3v model of the mini is the best value in that line but still double the price if you're not getting handle scales.

The downside of that knife is the so so kydex sheath that they had. You may want to have the fit checked before shipping. The mini canadian is still a great knife if you want something with a nicer handle and a little better ergos. If you wanted to put handles on the BJ it brings the price a bit closer where it isn't as big of a factor in the decision. If you need pictures for comparison let me know.

I have both and carry a Mini Canadian much more although Eric's point on the 155's blade being more usable is valid. I just prefer the ergos and aesthetics of the Mini C with the pinned handle and higher fit & finish to that of the 155. I mostly carry one of my 3 Mini C's in a belt sheath and if I were looking at a small fixer for pocket carry I might opt for something slimmer in the handle like the 155, Bravo Necker, Fallkniven WM1, etc. The Bark River Bravo Necker or ESEE Izula would be a closer comparison to the 155 than the Mini-Canadian if you are looking for something in that size range with a removable handle.

Here is a comparison photo of the BJ 155 (6th from left) and the Mini C (2nd from right).

I have a Mini C. in 3V.
I carry it in a back pocket sheath, which is the way it came. I bought 2nd hand.
I have found the short blade is not a disadvantage. it has done everything I like to do with a small knife. I'm a bit surprised at that.

Wow! Thanks all for the pics!
Leaning toward the BJ, i like slabsided handles better. Mini c looks like same height/width on the scales, feels like i am holding a broom handle.
I can do paracord or make my own wood scales for the 155 if i go that route.
Thanks to all for the input, it has been most helpfull.

Wow! And I thought I liked smaller fixed blades. Quite the collection.
