Lots of differences.
Steels are different.. The PSK has two steel options, and the CM154 is thicker than the other.
The Barkies have no coating and are stainless.
The TOPS PF is 1/4" thick. I don't see the point with that short of a knife.
I've never held the knife. Depends on what you want to cut.
Seems like you've pick two different extremes to choose from.
I would not twist or pry my PSK. It's for cutting, the convex edge is pretty thin. I wouldn't say it's frail, but not hard use.
I have one TOPS that is 1/4" thick, and the edge is anything but thin. It is sharp, but not great for fine cutting tasks. Food prep for example, is much eaiser with a thin edge and thin spine. I can imagine that the TOPS is much more of a wedge.
All I can say is that I would bet that the PSK would slice and push cut through much eaiser than that TOPS. If you are hard on knives, maybe the TOPS would be more for you.
I had a Prairie Fox. It was a nice little knife. Mine was 1/8" thick, not 1/4". Did they make them thicker? It wasn't a scalpel but would cut well and keep an edge. TOPS has the HT on 1095 down. The micarta was grippy and the kydex held it tight. Some of the larger TOPS designs are over the top but I think some of their little blades are a good value.

You're right, I do tend pick extremes. I think I'm going to with PSK. Do you experiences with it? I'm curious about Bark River in general. What can you tell me about them? Where would you recommend I do my shopping?
