Bass Pro Shop and Buck knives

My wife and I happen to drive by the Bass Pro Shop today so of course I convinced her I needed to stop in. Stopping by the knife counter, and the bucks display is pretty much empty! Except for a lonely 110, the rest of the knife stands were empty. The mighty 55, the 119, everything. I'll just hope that they got cleared out for Christmas. o_O

But they did have everything else stocked...even the clamp packs of 371 and 110LT. Hmm I wanted to ask someone but the one guy at the counter was busying helping to kids look at knives. And how could I interrupt that? ;)

I hope they restock all the classics.
Also I realized looking in the display, I can't even remember the last time I saw a buck 112 in a store.

Also I forgot to take a picture but they had stocked a Cabelas made in China version of the 55, stockman's and a few others. Very odd, don't think I've seen that before. That was mostly what made me wonder if their going to restock the buck ones.

Hope maybe they are just waiting on a replenishment shipment. Not sure how BPS does their inventory, but I deal with Lowes and Home Depot - most products (except full truckloads of bulk building materials) are shipped to their own regional warehouses where they redistribute as needed to all of the stores in a given geographical area. Maybe it is an internal issue. OH

Cabelas near me had most. Never saw a Chinese 55.

If I remember I'll stop by and take a picture, I should drive by there later this week. I was tempted to buy it, but they had the price set at 30 dollars or so, and that seemed a little steep for what is basically a chinese made copy.

This was the closest I could find.. 3"...similar in size to a 55 but not an actual Buck.

That is exactly it! Thank you. And yes they weren't actually Buck knives. Kinda what made me sad. Which reminds me I forgot to snap a picture of my Buck 110 when I went sledding with my wife and kid today. Drove right by Bass Pro Shop and didn't even think about it.
