I have no idea how to spell it....(batch-in it)...but it's all guys in my house this weekend.

And we're gonna stink this place up the best we can till the Queen Bee returns!!!

So, what movies can you guys recommend I see to fully explore the inner "man-imal"....:p

Maybe a repeat viewing of "300"?

I'm considering a Matrix Marathon as well...:D

The boys will get a Star-Wars marathon in the daytime...

After a refreshing morning hike, of course!

the american pie movies are funny as heck. i liked the naked mile. funniest of them all i think.

If you haven't seen it, I strongly suggest Seraphim Falls. you will love it.

Ok, this is official list of movies that you have to see in order to become a member of the male species. They should be required viewing at birth.

1. Braveheart
2. Conan the Barbarian
3. Red Dawn
4. Gladiator
5. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
6. Once upon a time in the West
7. Excalibur (1981 Version)
8. The Big Lebowski
9. The Outlaw Josie Wales
10. Commando

They must be watched in this order, beginning with Braveheart, the pinnacle of early maleness and ending with Commando, the epitomy of modern machismo.

That is all.

As much as I detest Mark Walberg, I thought shooter was actually a really good movie.

That and anything John Wayne should do the trick.

Commando is one of the best movies ever, absolutely classic.

"We'll take kook's ca, he vont be needin it"
"let out some steam Bennet"
"what happened to Sully?" - "I let him go"

Don't mix manly with gay :P So forget 300.

Try the Sex Crimes serie, 2 or 3 of them. You first get them for the hot girls, but the story is great too.

The Chronicles of Riddick; it's the same as Conan The Barbarian 'cept its' a futuristic outerspace spin.

Good list here. I say any spaghetti western, Outlaw Josey Wales, First Blood, Braveheart, a Vietnam movie or two, and you're good.

bullit

animal house

the sting

the original -oceans 11

as for the duke-you cant go wrong with any of them-but the shootist is soooo good

edited to add-

blazing saddles -the campfire and beans scene is on cable as i type

I have funky taste, but here's some I like

anything Kurt Russell/John Carpenter - The Thing (1982), Big Trouble in Little China, Escape from New York, etc

Ong Bak or Tom Yum Gung - if you can stand subtitles while watching guys get absolutely destroyed with feet & elbows

Die Hard

I was able to stand Paul Walker in Running Scared, and Four Brothers was watchable

good car chases are in Ronin, Equilibrium, the Bourne series, Bullitt, the French Connection

good shootouts in Heat, Equilibrium, Way of the Gun, Desperado

good fight scenes in the aforementioned Tony Jaa movies, Wheels on Meals, Enter & Return of the Dragon, They Live, Brotherhood of the Wolf

and keep names like Monica Bellucci, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johanssen, Jennifer Connelly, Eva Mendes, Salma Hayek, etc in mind ;)

Ronin!!!
Young Frankenstein
Dracula, Dead and Loving It
The Bourne series
The Fog

I'm sure some more will come to mind later..

How about a few older classics like:

Stage Coach
Shane
Forbidden Planet
Outland/High Noon
Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven
Moby Dick (w Gregory Peck)
Casa Blanca
Raiders of the Lost Ark

n2s

Evil Dead 2 is a must ;)

Didn't John Wayne "the Duke" as you call him never kiss a girl on the lips in any of his movies ? Oh yes I'm calling into question his sexuality :P
