Maggie and I will be there.

For some reason, Jim had me listed as a demonstrator on a recent email he sent out to folks. I hadn't been previously informed, so have had to hastily put together a demo schedule.
On Friday I'll demo sauntering / schmoozing... gossiping... catching up on news... griping / carping / cornering anyone in sight to belabor them with tales of my physical and mental woes... and finally, Friday evening will be devoted to a tutorial on gluttony / smokin' / boozin' as soon as the cutting comp is over. I'm trying to get some of the guys to help out with the smoking demo since I don't know flip about 'stogie-chompin'.:barf:
Saturday will be a full day, but I hope to be able to get across to all smiths, new and old, at least the basics of being a slug-a-bed, a ne'er-do-well and a rapscallion... ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I will also try to work in a live demo, with full participation from all attendees, on 'panhandling as a second job'. I'll have a rather large tin cup along with me, so do your part as participants in the demo and pitch in. The rustle of bills is sweeter to my ears than the clanging of coins, although no participant will find him/herself berated if silver or gold Walking Liberties is all you have to contribute.
Sunday, as you can well understand, will be a day of rest for me.:grumpy: Feel free to ask questions as long as the answers don't require any knowledge on my part about knives or forging. I will try to muster the energy to set aside an hour to accept accolades. I hear that I'm up for an award... 'The Seventy-Second Best Knifemaker Who No Longer Makes Knives'. I was told that the nomination was put forward by Win Heger and seconded by Matt Lamey. Thanks go out to those two fine gentleman.
Maggie, throughout the weekend, will be demonstrating the frustrating, but much needed, work of trying to 'whip me into shape'.
Looking forward to meeting all you forumite bastids!!
Thank you. Thank you very much.
