Hey everyone,

Long time lurker here who's spent some time on the Knife Exchange.

I haven't seen this get any attention, so I thought I'd share it.

The G5 Metamorph had been on my short list for a while. The standard models are sold out everywhere, so I pulled the trigger on this exclusive. I like the color a lot. It is unique, an olive green that gets a fine gold sparkle in the sunlight. The front flipper is snappy. Blade is ground perfectly and plenty sharp out of the box. I found out the hard way that you will wear out your thumb fidgeting if you don't practice a bit of finesse. Definitely a learning curve with these front flippers. The roller bearings seem to work fine, it is "drop shutty" after adjustment. Lock up is in the middle of the blade tang. That is late for my taste but no big deal. As some Youtubers pointed out, it is not only sleek but slippery. I can see it being a concern for the less sure handed. The Blade play is minimal despite the long blade and can probably be tuned out with some more adjustment. Overall, this is a great design for light EDC use and I'm happy with it. Value wise, sort of on the fence here, I used a 10% off coupon that negated some shipping cost. Real Steel's tolerances are not up to US Kershaw levels, but it is worth it if you dig the color as much as I do. The $59 price tag on the standard run looks better for this knife.... But hey, where else are you going to find roller bearings and an entry level front flipper? There is a lot of good here.

Here is a pic with my giant yeti hand. Blade looks smaller in this pic but I tried to get the angle right to show off the color. Hope you enjoyed my mini review. Hopefully more to come on the way.

Their website makes me angry. No useful description of any of the knives.
