I have been rebuilding a 1968 Honda CB 160 for the last 1 1/2 years. It was in really bad shape when I got it. I totally dismantled it down to the bolts! I put all new stainless steel bolts back in. The motor was bored out .030 and rebuilt. New carbs, rebuilt forks and shocks, rebuilt seat, new chrome, new tires and wheels, new paint, added turn signals and side stand, new grips, and polished everything!! Hope you enjoy!

Exquisitely beautiful job!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That pic brings back sooooo many memories of my younger days. That was our ride, the smaller Honda's. My first bike was a Honda super 90, and the second was a CB160. They started a life long love of the bikes, ending with three BMW's. But I'll never forget the first Honda. Honda is the brand that put motorcycling in the American mainstream. Their ad "You meet the nicest people on a Honda." worked like a charm. The Japanese introduced motorcycles you didn't have to be a motorcycle mechanic to keep running.

Like their cars.

Yea, that takes me back also. My buddies Dad had a 300 Dream.
I'm currently rebuilding a 74 Harley X90
Did you have to buy any parts?

Friend rode his CB160 from Chicago to LA with a detour south through Mississippi. Found trouble in a little town — Tunica, Belzoni, one of those places — he said the wrong thing to the wrong people and all the loafers on Main Street chased him throwing things, like Marlon Brando in The Wild One. I forgot about the Honda ads, that gave me a laugh.

I did have to buy some things. The original bike did not have turn signals or a side stand. Also it was bored .030 over so new pistons, rings, and pins. Also new seat cover that I rebuilt. I think I have one photo of the bike before. I will find it and post it.

You done that ol thang proud! I love those colors. Man that takes me back. My first bike was a 90 cc Allstate moped. Then a quantum leap to a 650 Triumph.
