Becker BK2 Wood Scales options?

Hey guys. I am new here to the forums and recently purchased my first knife of my own! So far I am in love with my BK2 and plan on buying more in the near future! I am however not a huge fan of the grivory handles that come on the knife and have been looking at micarta and wood alternatives.

Im leaning toward the wood handles but have only been able to find one single seller on ebay for wood handles for my BK2.

Wondering if there are members that make custom wood scales or know of other vendors for the BK2. Thanks in advance.

The BK handles from Kabar are nice. Great in cold weather and not as slippery as wood.

The guy that does wood scales puts out nice stuff...and he is a member here (though not particularly active). You can be comfortable purchasing from him.
There is also a seller there that does micarta, and he's just as solid (in my experience)
We do have some members here that make scales; but unless they have purchased a craftsman membership, they can't advertise/sell on this site.
*edited to add* Forgot to mention, there is also the option of TKC G10 scales. I've got one set, and (after an initial hardware oops) quite like them.

I can add pictures of a few wood and (non-factory) micarta options later

I have some gorgeous cocobolo Becker handles that I bought with my first Becker, now that I'm down the road a bit I should have first bought the KA-BAR micarta. Anyway, not sure if Marathonman is still making scales but if he is they sure are nice.

I like my tommythewho scales:

WOW! Those thats about the exact look I am looking for as well. I have several skinning knives for hunting that I have wooden handles for and leather sheaths, was looking for the same look for my more rugged BK2.

Does this "Tommythewho" have a website or facebook that I can message him about his products?

Awesome build thread by the way, Warrior.

How water resistant are these handles? I obviously wont be using this knife for my diving ventures but I would like to use it backpacking in the snow this winter.
No clue, haha. One of a few knives I've never used. I keep it in my BOB.

Tommythewho is tmil2009 I also amwest99. He coats 'em in "Tung Oil Finish". So not bare wood, but not super water-resistant. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the rain, or the snow, but might recoat when the season is over. Also, water gets under the scales so you'll want to leave the coating on there for snow/lake use.
