Practicing my post-apocalyptic vocation today. Olโ€™ buffalo skinner style with a modern flare. O1 tool steel with stabilized spalted oak & micarta scales.

made an ulu from a 7 1/4" Skil sawblade and some walnut

I like that a lot. Really nice job. Iโ€™ve been wanting to do one for a while now, but it never makes to the top of the list. Soon though. Thanks for the inspiration.

Forged in the year of Coronavirus (toxic bolster accent) from 3.5" of salvaged truck coil spring.
I don't know if you can fight it with a knife, but I'm sure as hell gonna try!

Kewl. The butt end reminds me of an axe handle.

Thanks, and that's funny because I almost put an actual axe handle on it! I have a weird in-between pack-axe handle kicking around the shop that was almost right. But will probably save it for a bigger blade.
