This Birucandashi was hand-forged from 1.5″ of some truck coil suspension spring. Drilled at least one of those holes waaay off, but here it is anyway:

I like that a lot. Really nice job. I’ve been wanting to do one for a while now, but it never makes to the top of the list. Soon though. Thanks for the inspiration.

Forged in the year of Coronavirus (toxic bolster accent) from 3.5" of salvaged truck coil spring.
I don't know if you can fight it with a knife, but I'm sure as hell gonna try!

Thanks, and that's funny because I almost put an actual axe handle on it! I have a weird in-between pack-axe handle kicking around the shop that was almost right. But will probably save it for a bigger blade.
