Benchmade’s founder has passed away.

RIP Mr. de Asis. Thoughts and condolences to friends and family.

RIP Les.

My first real knife was a Benchmade 880BT Darkstar. I will always have a place in my pocket for a Benchmade.

Prayers sent for him, his family, and Benchmade.
Though, I have no doubt Benchmade will move forward and honor his legacy.

RIP. bad news. sorry to hear it. my condolences to his family and close friends.

I am sorry to hear this. Condolences to the family.

Rest in peace and condolences.

Proud of his legacy as a Filipino bringing our passion for knives to the forefront.

There's a bit of Les in every one of the two dozen BMKs in my two Benchmade drawers as well as the other dozen or so I've had and gifted or sold. I'm proud to own his knives and will think of him often as I continue to use and enjoy them. RIP, Les, and condolences to his workers, friends, and family as the company he built carries on.

Jon,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this most difficult time.
