Hello! This is my first post here and I do not know much about knives so please take it easy on me. :-)

In 2006, I bought a Blackwood Skirmish 630 with the rainbow colored pattern. I loved the knife and it was one of my favorite knives of all time.

2 years ago, we lost our home in one of the CA wildfires. While searching through the complete loss, I was kicking through ash and I found the titanium and metal of a few of my knives. I thought it was a lost cause but I sent them in to Benchmade, with an explanation of what happened. I didn’t really think there would be anything they could do but figured it was worth a shot. Maybe they could polish it or something. To my surprise, they sent me a brand new knife. I was completely blown away and so happy that they had been so generous. (They also replaced a couple of other knives)

My question is that I have never seen one of these with the serrated edge before. I prefer it without the serrated edge but beggars can’t be choosers. I’m just curious mostly. Was this a version that they made and discontinued? Why can’t I seem to find any images of serrated blades on this variety?

I am not sure how to add pics but will try to figure that out later.
Thank you for your time

Wow! This says a lot about Benchmade.

All we normally hear is how bad their QC is.

Then they do something like this.

Kind of brings back some of your lost faith in your fellow man.

Thanks for sharing.
