Dear forum users - I hope to get some info from you on this knife.

Benchmade 910 Stryker - September 1998 production. This knife just feels so pleasant and superb, came new in the box 0% use so feels like brand new. I'd love to know the story behind this unique and interesting knife - Elishewitz design. I do not like tanto blade in theory but this modified tanto looking blade feels just perfect. I will keep this knife on the display glass wall, this is not for carry, I carry Coldsteel SR1 and it does all the heavy work a pocket tank is supposed to do, this is just a fun knife to have for a collection I think.

I know they don't make these anymore, discontinued model. From what it looks - blade is 154CM, not my favorite blade, but OK can not complain too much.

Any other interesting info would be appreciated.

Nice knife!
Can't imagine its been sround that long.
Well, prior to that, back in the dsy
the benchmade's emerson Cqc7
was the hottest thing around.
And when that relationship ended
Eli (then a rising star) took centre stage
with his take on the tactical tanto folder
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/who-was-the-designer-of-bm910-stryker.496115/
And while it was a very refined design
and superior design in its own right,
it was not a repeat phenomenon like its
Emerson predecessor.
However i think it was in the production
lineup far longer...
Awesome keeper you have there!

In 1998 154CM was "state of the art". PM steels did not become commonly used for cutlery until 5-8 years later.

That’s a rare bird there. I haven’t seen one of those in many years. Gonna keep it pristine or carry it?

Yes, I am gonna keep it pristine (just like the remainder of my 41 knives) in the glass wall/shelf , love showing them to friends, only carry my Coldsteel Sr1 and sometimes Benchmade Barrage 581. All my knives are for display and pristine, can't imagine abusing them, even when I cut the paper I only cut a piece or two to demonstrate (or make a youtube video) and that's all.

Wonderful argument :) just a matter of taste. so far I really enjoy my m390s, s35n, s110v... Love those blades for their characteristics.
It's like my buddy who insisted that he needed the turbo model of the Porsche cayenne even though he drives slower than anyone I have ever met. It's a $40k upcharge that is basically only there for bragging rights.

No, the OP. The accumulation of knives to just have, instead of to use.
Me either, but he's not hurting anyone by doing so and if he enjoys it that's great. At least he isn't buying up multiple copies of the exact same knife to hoard so others can't get one.

Oh no, that's not what I meant at all.

But it is a bit strange. But then again we all have our things.
It IS a nice collection, and I can see several I'd take of his hands ;)

I do use few duplicate models that I like for carry Coldsteel Sr1, Benchmade Barrage 581 and will start carrying Benchmade Onslaught 741 after it comes from Lifesharp... All others are beautiful display pieces and discussion starter.

If you like the feel of that model, you might also like the Auto Stryker. I believe it's still in production. The Stryker 2 doesn't feel as good in hand IMO.

We all have out quirks. I know a guy in my circle of classic car friends that built himself a state of the art garage way back on his property where he restores and stores his cars. He restores them himself backs them out washes them pulls them back in. Only drives 2 the rest are just for him, and I'm talking 15 plus rare pieces. (A particular numbers matching 71 chevelle ss 454 convertible I wanna get my hands on.)

Some knife guys use the crap out of em some wipe em down and put em back in the case. We're all strange. Very nice collection op.
