Whats up everybody? I would have posted this in the auto section but
here gets more traffic.

Im going to be ordering a new knife today and having trouble deciding so
Im looking for some input.

Its between a Benchmade Auto Stryker satin plain edge or a AFO II
satin drop point serrated(or Plain)

Ive heard nothing but good things about the A S but not much in the way of reviews for the AFO II.

The AFO II has some features I really like, glass breaking pommel, multiple clip
positions, stronger lock.

This will be a new EDC blade replacing my 2010 Cold Steel recon 1 tanto which I just sold because I didnt like it anymore.

I've had an Auto Striker in the past as well as an9052 AFO II. I still have the AFO, the Auto Striker is long gone.

The AFO II is a beast of an auto--at least in terms of the autos Benchmade makes. The new plunger lock is 30% stronger than the previous version, the button is much larger and the spring is stronger--this is a Benchmade auto with some actual snap for a change.

It's one of my all-time favorite Benchmades, so my vote is for the AFO II.

Best,

Heekma

Thankyou very much for the input

I recently got back into auto's and now have 2 of the AFO II's, clip point and tanto. This really is a nice knife, with some heft to it. Feels solid in my hand and rides wel in my pocket in the tip up position. Like Heekma said, it has some spring to it!

I would definately say AFO II.

I have replaced the clip on mine with what is called the "Stealth" clip, from usaknifemakers. I really like the knife better with this clip as it allows the entire knife to go inside your pocket.

Well I couldnt really decide so I just ordered the AFO II satin serrated, and in a month or
two Ill order the auto stryker in black serrated. It will be here first thing Monday morning, cant wait!

Problem solved.

I am carrying a 9100 today and while it is fun to play with, it is really not that useful. you get 2 ~1" edges and another 1.5" of serrations. Lockup is not great (to be expected with a button lock). I do like the handle ergos, but the blade shape with serrations is not that handy for me.

Thanks guys I actually ended up buying both because I couldnt decide and they both came in today a couple hours ago(amazon 1 day shipping is great)

I really love both but I honestly like the auto stryker a lil more just because its a little bit lighter and thinner, but they are both awesome.

I actually sold my beloved Cold Steel Natchez bowie and recon 1 so I could get both.

No regrets
