Just got this one in the mail on Saturday morning! Thnx dweikum! I like it! This one came complete. Box, paperwork, sheath and Axcaliber.

It's the model 170, better known as Axcaliber. The specs I know on it are: 17 1/2'' overall, made from 3/16'' thick High Carbon tool steel with a molded Kraton handle. The head is 5 3/4'' deep and the edge is 7 7/8'' from point to point.

All I can say is it's a great piece. I'd love to see BM make another piece like this one day.

And to give you an idea of the size of this sucker, here it is compared to a 710HS.

it seems like BM made a lot of cool stuff back in the days, seems also like they are getting a bit conservative now?

Oh man...I want one of those! That looks really sweet. Did these used to be in regular production, or some limited run?

Is it Benchmade or Pacific Cutlery? I've been picking up some of the older Pacific Cutlery fb's recently and am really impressed with the quality and innovation for an early 80's knife. They really stack up quite nicely (or better when compared with the new BM fb's)with a lot of current fb's.

Patryn, just curious, but is that Faust in your sig? :)

I have a few comics of which spawned...well...Spawn.

Cargun: I don't know exactly when they were being made, or how many.

Manji: Yes they did! I agree with the conservative part, but Neil Blackwood just announced that he is teaming up with Benchmade! That could be great for us.

Murnax: It was a regular production model to my knowledge. There is nothing indicating that it was a limited run of any kind.

Yes it is Faust. From issue #1. I love Tim Vigil's work. I don't even want to start on how many comics I have around. Egad. ;)
