Benchmade cuts up guns now?

but people work for that company and support their families with that pay. Let’s hold off a second to see what they say before calling for national boycott.

Benchmade probably is getting shaken down by the democrats in its state. They aren’t exactly a big risk taking company lately and probably paid to keep the dems on their side since they rule the state Benchmade operates in.

A little sincerity on their part and an apology for essentially getting into bed with the enemy would go a long way in my books.

Benchmade should have thought about Benchmade employees and families before making such a contentious act. If it were not for whomever in the OCPD posted the video none of Benchmade's anti-2A support would have surfaced. But it has. Now Benchmade is exposed.

But I’m not going to discuss my views on that here. Just state that I will continue to support Benchmade because I feel that in their past donations and present actions, they’ve done nothing wrong.

The problem with all this talk is that people are never consistent when it comes to boycotting companies due to political contributions. I don't care if you are a lib avoiding Chic-fil-a or a GOPer who refuses to shop at Target.

Have those companies come out and stated that they are supporters of the 2A?

"What kind of people can purchase firearms" is pretty clearly laid out in the 2nd Amendment.
American citizens.
Period.
"Shall not be infringed".

Next they will want to decide what other rights are restricted to certain people.
Like freedom of speech.

I can understand them helping to cut up those guns since it was a court ordered destruction because those guns can never be re-sold to the public but what I can’t understand is their obvious support for anti-second amendment politicians. I think until they clear up this issue I’m going to hold off on buying anymore Benchmade products and spend my money elsewhere until I am convinced they are not an anti-second amendment company.

The guns could have been resold as per Oregon State law.

It might not be the goal of civilians who vote Democrat. It ABSOLUTELY is the goal of the Democratic party. Hillary Clinton even said publicly that she was interested in exploring Australian style gun confiscations. (Not long after her "Basket of Deplorables" comment.) Democrats in New Jersey have made it a 4th degree felony to POSSESS a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. And let's be clear here, a 30 round PMag is literally just a hunk of plastic with a spring in it. So in NJ the possession of a hunk of plastic with a spring in it makes you a felon. That's absolute batshit insanity.

The new wave of socialist Democrats want nothing less than the complete abolishment of the 2nd amendment. Which is exactly what the Democratic party wants, they've just been better at hiding it over the years.

I don't normally directly disagree with people on the internet, but I can't sit by and let a statement like that go unopposed.

I'm done with supporting cookie monster too! Seriously, I've been collecting since last summer. New to the game. I find this event very eye-opening. Also, I only became aware of the Springfield Armory debacle through this BM circumstance. Bought my XD back in 2006. I remember Lapedog saying he could not be friends with me because I prefer Springfield to Glock - wonder if this is what he was getting at.

I've started to use the ignore and follow functions here over the last 12 hours or so. 100% do not support BM's complicity in firearms destruction and donations to anti-gun forces. It's hard to be in the middle on this.

I’ll still support Benchmade because their decision literally affects no one and they make IMO the best quality knives for the money. Just be sure to send plenty of “thoughts and prayers” to the “liberal .....” who are actually trying to solve problems rather than profit from them.
