I'm not into fixed blades, but got a really good deal on a plain edge Gamer. I've since traded it off, but enjoyed having it. Here goes: FYI the knife got a lot of use in the kitchen and it excelled on food prepping chores!
The sharp 440c blade is super thin and goes full-tang. On mine, I couldn't find a flaw. Clean grind lines everywhere. The scales are thermoplastic and comfortable. Very good knife for the money, made at the BM factory in Taiwan.
While the knife itself was fine, I had a problem with the 'milti-carry' sheath, which is made from cheap thermoplastic. There was no real protection for the blade and so got scratched from insertion and removal. IMO Benchmade needs to address their sheath designs. They're too clumsy and busy. I went to Eric at Normark for a custom Concealex job and that solved that.
So for the money, it can't be beat as a fixed bladed knife. Light, thin, 440c and sharp - even if it's not made here. Why it wasn't more popular I dunno...
