Anyone have the Benchmade SOCP model with the serrations and single edge? Do you think it would be decent for EDC and very light utility tasks? I want a small fixed blade that can be easily carried in the pocket (I don't like anything on my belt) and this knife seems like it might work. I would not be using this for self defense, purely EDC and very light utility tasks. Any input will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Great for self defense,, depending on where you work might be a little aggressive for Edc,,,

I carry a SOCP dagger with me everyday. I usually carry it IWB on my 11 o'clock, but I have slipped in in my pocket and it worked just fine. I shaved down the sheath a bit and added an o-ring to the ribbing to help lock the sheath in place so I could draw it. I'll snap some pics and put them up in the morning.

What do you use it for? What state are you from?

I live in Georgia. I carry it as a self defense/transition tool. That being said, it gets used as a box opener often.

I'm just afraid I'll scare people around here (Wisconsin) or that it's illegal somehow. Actually, I'm not even too concerned about what people think...just what an officer and a judge think. I've always wanted this knife!

Thank you sir. I was thinking about doing the exact same thing and decided to do some searching on here first when I came across this.

Been wanting a fix blade knife for the exact same reason after years of carrying folding knifes; I wanted something that was faster to deploy. This fit the bill perfectly. Small, thin, lightweight, and quick to deploy.
