Who is a fan of the Benchmade Benchmite series? I know there are many of you.

There have been a handful of variations over the years from Benchmade, and special limited editions out as well.

I just bought the black pearl coating version of the Benchmite II, and I like it. (I didn't know what to expect in a Red class knife)

I've got the SS 3100 Auto, and the original 310 as well (so.. just the basics).

I'll try to get pic's up another time, since the pic I took with my cell phone looks terrible.

Anybody have pictures to share of their collections (rainbow, damascus, black 3100, etc??

I have the newer mchenry williams benchmite II and for the 25 I paid for it I am less than impressed but maybe I was expecting more from it.

I have the Benchmite 3100 & love it. It's a great little auto & a very handy pocket knife. While I usually photo all my knives (Past & present), I don't think I did that with this one, although I've had it for over a yr.

I'll try to take some pics & post it, but it's just a "plain Jane" auto. Most small knives don't have that great of steel, so 154CM's a nice welcome for such a small auto.

I love the 310. Aside from having quality materials and construction, it's got the cool gadget factor with the levitator mechanism. I lucked out and found one in nice condition at a show a few years ago, enjoyed owning it ever since.

jujigatame.. thanks for the picture. Very well done.

ColonelX.. I didn't know there were HD versions. Very cool. The HD branding is not for me, but these are nice options nonetheless and show some creative marketing between Benchmade and HD. For me, it's sort of a weird combination, the Benchmite and Harley.. but that's just me.

I still don't have my own dedicated Benchmite pic's to post, but have gone and bought 2 Benchmite 2's today, in addition to the original 310 and the 3100 auto that I already have.

The F&F, blade steel, and smoothness of the action on the 310 and 3100 are definately better then the new Taiwan made Benchmite 2's (not that I have handled a bunch.. just the ones that I own).

However, for less then $30 each, you get the same form and function, and they are still pretty well done. I would recommend checking the action on the knives if you can, or asking an online retailer to check for you, to ensure you're getting a good one. There were 2 that I went through at the store (action was slightly sticky), before finding the one that I wanted.

The look of the black pearl finish version is really sharp looking, while the bead blasted steel version is just average looking. The 3100 I have has a nice polished stainless steel finish.

I do have one picture of my 2 older Benchmites amongst a bunch of other knives from a few months ago. The 310 and 3100 are sitting in between a Benchmade Mini Grip and a Byrd Cara Cara. With this picture, you might be able to get a feel for how big they are, compared to other knives of similar size, like the Spyderco Kiwi, CoPilot, Cricket, Nemesis Imp, and Swiss Army Classic and Cadet (cadet's blade is a bit bigger then all of these, but same overall thickness or thinness of the total package).

I'll get a new benchmite family pic up soon.

I would still love to see pic's of the more exotic benchmites, if anybody's got 'em..

^ A man after my own heart, right here. I have GOT to start adding more Carbon Fiber handled knives to my collection!

Obviously not the most creative arrangement, but here they are:

I especially like how Benchmade has changed up the blade shape just slightly on each of these different models.

Tim, sometimes on eBay...
I like especially the blue titanium 310. And I wish I could get at least one of the 2 Damasteel versions made for A. G. Russell, IIRC.
Here are mines.
