I am lately interested in Benchmade knives, and have Griptilian and 530,need a folder with thin grind for slicing.Any recommendations? How is BM710 as slicer?

The 710 is an excellent slicer with its recurve blade, but a bit of a challenge to sharpen because of the recurve. I prefer my Grippie in D2. (But my Sebbie 21 is better than of those when it comes to slicing.)

Something with a high flat grind like the Ritter (variant) Grip. And yes, with an excellent recurved blade the 710 does very well also.

The Ritter Griptilians, both large and small, slice very well due to their thin grind and excellent blade shape. The mini even more so than the large, although you do lose some significant blade length. I am carrying my Ritter right now, in fact.

Love my 530, just stropping the factory edge made a wicked slicing edge (IMO). 531 might be even better, but no regrets here. Feeling both, I couldn't justify the cost difference.

Edit: Misread OP

610 Ruckus slices like a dream with its Full Flat Grind, now discontinued.

The 51 Morpho slices awesome too...

808 Loco is also FFG....or the 710 works well.

The Presidio Ultra, without a doubt and I own/have owned over 50 Benchmade folders. That big hollow ground blade is an amazing slicer.

I like my Rift for a slicer. I have all three Grip blades and I think the Rift is better of this group. I like the blade shape and the 154 steel is not impossible to touch up when the need arises.
Be safe, Frank.

Volli is a very good slicer and a bit of an underdog. I was gifted this knife without really noticing it. It is a GREAT knife.

The Volli is an outstanding all-around knife and slicing is one of the things it does very well. Of the other BMs I've owned, the Ritters, Rifts, and Presidios are also good slicers.

The 740 De Ja Vu and the 741 Onslaught were the best slicers I ever had from them. I have to give the 610 Rukus an honorable mention as well though.

Only have the 740 and the 610 still but would not hesitate to use either one for any cutting task.

The Ritter Grip is good and slicey due to the high flat grind and so is the Volli. I hate the ergos of the Volli though to put it lightly nor an assisted fan.
