I will be running a Vortex Sparc II on my AR, and want to order a small load of batteries. Any of you with extended experience with this style battery recommend a certain brand?
American made lithium batteries tend to do the best in flahslights and optics. I think there's only 2 manuf. in the states but a lot of brands are rebranded. Panasonic batteries are good (they make Surefire's)
2032 I usually buy a couple dozen at a time and stash them in my rifle bags. Always put a fresh one in when I leave for a hunt and have extra in case I forget to turn it off.
The battery that came with your Vortex was probably made in China just like scope. Sony and many other brand name batteries are made in Asia. Maxell is made in Japan. They are so cheap, why worry about it? Buy 10 or so brand name batteries for about $5 and forget about it. I would just avoid the no name batteries.
