Best dagger for what?? I have the Sting CRKT) And live 11.7 miles from Arms & Armor. How much do YOU want to spend?

Well, you take a Dagger and marry it to the good old American Fighting Bowie. The best of both worlds. Like this!

It will slash like a Straight Razor, and penetrate like a Dagger. And the Sub-Hilt keeps it indexed where it needs to be. Not to mention keeping in in your hand in a nasty situation! Mike

Boker makes some nice remakes of Yancy's fighting stilleto. Rex applegate was the fellow who designed the orignal in WW2.

The Sting really is nice. I got a Normark sheath for it,
and it's a professional ... ahh ... oops! (safe queen mostly) :D

Killer edge on it, and a fine grip for a little knife.

There is always Darrel Ralph.
Some daggers among his Art Knives.
And among the New Designs.
And the Folders/Autos.

If you're looking for the exccessive, a boar hunting dagger with a blade length of over 10 inches and a width of about two would do wonders.

I'm not sure if they are the best, but Kizlyar makes some beautiful daggers:

Mike

hey, cool you know our new KO-2 serration :).
but at the time it gives only 4 of these daggers, they are complete new and very great-fully. I got the first produced KO´s.
One is now in Spain at home and the owner is quite happy with it.
I really hope to get more in the end of the year.

A colleague picked up a mint condition Applegate Fairburn and made a concealed carry sheath. What a honey. Always wanted the Randall E. Have a 9" 12c27 ivory handled Corne Smit Dagger to my own spec, nailing thieving hands to the front passenger seat.

However for EDC I find it hard to beat the Sog Pentagon as it is compact and extremely useful.
