Best Flipper under $50?

What is the best EDC flipper knife with a 2" to 3" blade for under $50?

I would like for it to be medium to light weight (ie: lighter than my Kershaw Cryo G10), have a clip for pocket carry (deep pocket carry even better), and I'd prefer it have only a flipper (ie: no thumbstud or hole; if it had one or the other in addition to the flipper I'd prefer the hole) for opening.

Thanks for any and all help!

the usual suspects come to mind...

rat 2 (in d2 when they're on sale were $50)
kershaw leek (the tiny thumbstuds are easy enough to get rid of but are out of the way already)

edit: sorry I guess they both have thumbstuds :(

I guess you're stuck with china flippers:

bestech / civivi / artisan cutlery etc all have a bunch of them for about $50

I'm guessing Buck Vantage is the only American made flipper in that price range .

the key point here is - there are very very few folders that don't have thumbstuds or holes....

That's interesting...I've never really noticed that but you're exactly correct!

If it had to have one of the two (hole or thumb stud) in addition to the flipper I'd prefer it have a hole. (btw: I went back and added this info to my original post)

Thanks!

Kershaw 1086 Diskin design bearings etc only a flipper, came out just before the Cryo. Can’t remember the name... discontinued. I’ve got one but don’t use it. Gots lots better stuff to carry. Nice knife at the time popular until... who cares...???

Kershaw strobe, came here to recommend it too

It has 3" blade length. But has a larger version with 3.5". They are about $40. The expensive ones are made in Italy.

Look at Civivi. Honestly the best budget flippers imo. Kershaw is good too, but I feel civivi gives you better quality for your money.

I'd say a Civivi Baklash, but the blades 3.5...the Elementum looks nice though.

Thanks for the advice...never paid attention to (or know much about) the Civivi brand but this Baklash is a beauty!

Civivi Elementum in G10 is right at $50 (and right under 3") and is a very nice knife, the Civivi/Ferrum Forge Odium is right there on price, but is smaller (2.6").
The CRKT Pilar III hasn't been released yet, but will have a D2 blade a hair under 3 inches running on bearings (which should give it a better action that the earlier models that ran on nylon) for $49.99. It's a steel framelock, so it'll weigh a good bit more than the liner locks you see in this price range.

The Bad Blood Dreadnaught is a large flipper, and is one of the best I've handled in that price range.

I've been carrying the Ruike P108 for the last year. Cost me $35. 14C28N blade steel, holds a good edge. It's not too big, not too small. Has a Beta lock, I never use it. Light and handy.
